Last month, I invited you to share 7 Things That Bring You Joy in response to last month’s blog. The idea was to submit the little things in life, odd or simple as they might appear to someone else, that bring joy to your life. I’m pleased to announce the winner! As promised, here is her story. enJOY!

7 Things That Bring me Joy
by Jayma Donnell
When asked to consider 7 things that bring joy to my life, this list came quickly to mind:
1. Cup of coffee/tea and a good book
There is just something about curling up on the sofa (especially on a rainy day) with a warm beverage and book is quite relaxing.
2. Taking a day trip/drive on a beautiful day
Throw open the sunroof, crank up the tunes, enjoy the sunshine and great view getting to explore God’s creation. Love it!
3. My cat
Call me the crazy cat lady if you want, but I love my cat’s soft fur, hearing her purr and her crazy antics brings me complete joy.
4. Flowers
I love opening my front door and enjoying the flowers I’ve planted. The bright colors brighten my mood.
5. Decorating
Whether it’s vicariously enjoying other’s decorating on HGTV, seeing what others have come up with in a magazine, or just rearranging areas in my house, it gets my creative juices flowing.
6. Cooking/eating/drinking
Food should be not just eaten, but enjoyed, especially with friends and family. I love trying new foods and restaurants and trying new recipes at home.
7. Antiquing/shopping for antiques
The older and more worn out it is, the better the chances that I’ll love it.
